Subject: One of my favorites in the Archive.
A really strong set, pretty much all my favorite pre-13 Blues songs together (except that "Could've Moved Mountains" is abbreviated because it's just an intro piece).

The performances are also amazing. "God Bless Our Dead Marines" (this is my favorite version of that song ever), "Take These Hands", and "Ring Them Bells (Freedom Has Come and Gone)" are all excellent listens, and also great examples of how much hearing the band live can add to those original album versions. Even this very early version of "BlindBlindBlind" shows that that song was strong right from the beginning.

The sound quality is also top notch; you couldn't ask for a better-sounding bootleg (this recording sounds better than the other copy of the same show on this website, in case you were wondering). Everything sounds nice and direct, and there's also just enough of that room ambiance without sounding drowned in acoustics.

Finally, there's plenty of funny banter, mostly with one person in the audience who was upset that nobody was dancing. Distended Watoozies!!!

...and I still find myself listening to this show regularly.

A really amazing vibe in the room, ranging from silent enthrallment to humour and laughter. Powerful stuff.

Sounds very nice particularly with a set of headphones.

Subject: Very excellent recording
I heard this show in August in the states. As I recall, this is the same setlist. This recording is excellent and allowed me to relive my own concert....brought one big smile to my face. Thanks so much for the ability to stream it. Neil
